Accessibility Statement

A lawn is for everyone, and so is this website. Here is the standard we build to, what we have done about it, and the fastest way to tell us if something is in your way.

The short version: we want every visitor — on any device, with any assistive technology — to be able to read about our services and ask for a quote. If anything on this site stops you doing that, call or email us and a person will help you the same day.

Our Commitment

Lonesome Lane Lawn Care is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including people who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice control, screen magnification, or high-contrast and reduced-motion settings.

The Standard We Build To

This site is designed and maintained to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the level referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidance for websites. Every page is checked against that standard before it is published and again in a monthly review.

What That Means In Practice

  • Every page works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator and a “skip to content” link at the top.
  • Headings, landmarks and lists are real HTML, so screen readers can move through the page by structure.
  • Text and background colors meet or exceed the required contrast ratios, and text can be resized to 200% without loss of content.
  • Photographs carry descriptive alternative text; decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
  • Every form field has a visible label, and errors are described in words, not just color.
  • Animation is kept minimal and is switched off entirely for visitors whose device asks for reduced motion.
  • Buttons and links are large enough to tap comfortably on a phone, and nothing on the site depends on hovering with a mouse.

Known Limitations

We are not aware of any part of this website that cannot be used with assistive technology. Some job photographs are supplied by our own crews and are described as accurately as we can; if a description is unclear, tell us and we will fix it. The “verify you are human” check on the quote form is provided by Cloudflare and is designed to work without visual puzzles; if it ever blocks you, phone us instead and we will take your details by voice.

How We Check

Pages are tested with automated tools (Lighthouse and axe) on both phone and desktop layouts, and by hand with keyboard-only navigation and a screen reader. The site is built and maintained by NexSites, whose build standard requires an accessibility score of 90 or higher on every page before it goes live.

Technical Details

This website relies on HTML, CSS and a small amount of JavaScript, and is intended to work with current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge, and with common assistive technologies including VoiceOver, TalkBack, NVDA and JAWS. It does not require JavaScript to read content or to reach our phone number.
